The Utterance of Money Enticement-Based SMS: A Challenge to the Indonesian Politeness and Unification Sustainability

The paper was inspired by the incoming short message service (SMS) offering financial support through cheques. aim of this study to identify characteristics SMS, and examine deictic expressions impositives commissives tact generosity maxims under perspective politeness principle. Data for were gathered from April 2019 August 2020 electronic observation 24 cases sent s h’s personal phone number at different times dates. Descriptive analysis applied understand contents SMS. results research corroborated with a few dimensions information that SMS texts promised money ranging Rp. 100 175 millions. web page addresses fake senders’ names not written. In case person deixis, second singular “you” appears explicitly implicitly.
